Is CSS For Me?

Hello I am a Bachelor in Engineering and here is my dilemma, I have yet to start CSS prep but something is holding me back. If anyone can clarify my reservations it would truly be wonderful.

1. If css is tough to pass , there must be some serious work being done in the government sectors, so that you can utilize your meticulously carved talents .

2. I am sure Css officers are brilliant can someone point me where this "brilliance" is illustrated?

3. Does a Civil Servant truly serve , if so where?

Please if anyone can satisfactorily answer these question I can start my Css Prep?

AOA Vman.

"Scepticism is the beginning of faith" - Oscar Wilde.

Welcome aboard V. May be I don't have answer to any of the questions you posed (besides suggesting you some books like Awaz e Dost and Shahaab Naama etc.) but what I am sure about is that you shouldn't be so shaky at this stage. Yes, being a CSS candidate you will be in a much better position to bring a change (on whatever scale) than...you know what!

Best!

PS: You should value the opinion of your 'mentor', whosoever that might be! ;)

No, MorningLark, I'm afraid that is not possible. You need at least 4 years of preparation.

Morning Lark, I think you can try if you have got the requisite writing skills, hold over English grammar and a basic know-how of what's going on in the world around.

Aik Admi

I haven't read either of the books you mentioned ; and I would like to know why you recomend them?

Why shouldn't I be so shaky at the current position I am in ?
