Firstly you should go through the syllabus of the available optional subjects.Also analyse the past papers of each subject that appeals to you.As you have ample time you can take upto a month to decide your optionals.It is important that you take your time while choosing your optional subjects because a wrong one can ruin your score.Then browse through this forum and make a list of all the books you need that have been recommended by the senior members of this forum.You have done graduation in literature so i assume your english expression will be good.However,you should try to improve it more because english essay plays a very important role in the competitive examinations.For preparation of all the subjects you can search and consult this forum.This forum is a blessing for css aspirants.Read the posts of csps and try to understand how did they attempt this exam.Also try to think out of the box i.e be creative.Read different books by different authors and form opinions about important issues that face the modern world.But the most important thing is to have a firm belief in Allah.You do your best and leave the rest on Allah Pak.Also i would advise you to enroll yourself in any MA or Msc program because there are some news circulating currently about the eligibility of css exams to be raised to masters from 2017

Hi wellington.do you know any relevant books of sociology international relation law governance and public policies indo pak history general science and ability ....are jehangir cram series relevant and to the point ...any of them? And last the cluster based exam is still rumor or syllabus may change in april as per instructions of those clowns who are dead and will dead from neck ?

For sociology,consult the books of horton and taga.Mian shafique's book for general science and ability covers most of the syllabus.You can also prepare some general science topics that are not included in the text book from the internet.If you have enough time on your hands then preferably you should consult the text books instead of jehangir exam cram series.At best,the jehangir series can serve as guide books but do not depend solely on them.As to the cluster based issue,I think no one knows the exact situation as of now,but maybe by april or may next year we will have the answer.

6 months are enough with 8 hrs a day. one needs to follow good strategy to pass this exam. its a combination of hard work and smart work.

Tyari karna muskil kam nai hai.asal may tyari k liay khud ko prepare karna Muskil kam hai.the books fpsc suggested are from all over the world.very difficult to find relevant books.only option is to compile them up in array that are topsy turvy. Let's see which way the cat jumps when April comes.that really matters!!
