Permanent residence certificate (PRC)

hi . i need a help regarding PRC . . i have a domicile of balochistan but i got to know about this PRC thing. I went to the D.c office Quetta and the dont even had any idea about that still on the request the issued me a residence certificate (RC) with no form d or c thing neither my picture and stuff. . just my name on it. i want to know whether its compulsory for exam or can i use my Rc with my domicile. ? ? and how come people in balochistan dont know about this certificate. m i running after somthing unnecessary ? please let me know who already appeared in exams esp from balochistan.!

PRC is usually required for educational institutes and issued by the district education officer according to my knowledge

The Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC), as per my experience, is issued by the Union council (UC), the one where you are residing. Now this PRC thing basically has info on it but no picture. However, the form C and D are issued by the DCO office, showing that you are resident of the said district.

However, I don't see why in the first place you want a PRC, when you already have the domicile.

for which exam you required this PRC thing?

If you are going to appear in CSS exam so need of PRC domicle is enough for this.

PRC is issued by union council nowadays it is issued by village secretery of village council
