Default Increase in number of attempts for CSS
The Federal government has notified increase in age limitation from 28 years to 30 years for CSS aspirants.

However, it has not increased the number of attempts and restricted it to merely three, which is unjustifiable and devoid of any merits, as many candidates who gave their last attempt (CSS-2016) at the age of 28 years cannot benefit from the increase in age limit which was announced in August 2016.

In our neighboring country India, there is no such restrictions on number of attempts for UPSC (civil service) exams. Kindly share your thoughts and what action can be taken to get an increase in number of attempts for css???

It's on the agenda of CSS reforms. Perhaps, in 2018 it will be implemented along with cluster based exams.

I have read CSS reforms in newspapers; cluster based exams will be a reality soon; but never read or heard about increasing the number of attempts for CSS in the reform package. Kindly share any link or relevant information in this regard...
