Ce 18. Need Guidence

Hello guys,

This is serious css aspirant who needs guidance from you guys who have already gone through this rigorous phase of preparation and those who are on their way to attempt the css exam.
Well I am a student of MS in which my degree requires thesis to be declared as "complete". Anyhow I have decided to attempt Ce 18 as my first attempt but big issue of thesis is haunting my way to my target. It normally takes 6 to 7 months to be completed in its complete form subtracting these crucial months from my preparation .
What should I do to cater thesis as well as my css objectives( always a primary objective). One more thing worth telling is that I am doing job with time from 8 to 2 with one holiday.
Obviously I am suffering from disease named as time management syndrome so Your input will definitely help me a lot for this.

Thank you

Hi. Why not complete the thesis and then appear for CSS. If you are serious about CSS, then you shouldn't take chances with CSS. You will be under alot of pressure in last few months. With job, you will have hardly 5-6 hours of study even if you don't focus on thesis. If you consider thesis, then you won't have enough time for preparation. I think its better if you leave it this time.

You will have to put in a lot of hard work plus smart work if you are considering ce18. But if there is no age constraints then i second Fawad. CSS preparation is demanding, you have a thesis + job + css, it will be difficult. Spare at least 8hrs a day for css.

It would be better if you could complete your thesis first, then go for css, now they have raised upper age limit too.

Thank you for your guidance. That is what I was thinking and confused about, if I complete my thesis then remaining months would be inadequate for me to prepare for css having job routine as well. I am 25 now with no attempt.

complete your thesis first and look for other opportunities later...your personality out look is not impressing at all as it seems like somebody told you that you are going to die soon and you are running out of time so you want to do all things simultaneously...you have a long life in front of you and hopefully great one too..so dont loose focus and spoil your hard work.

There are two very common practices, found within candidates preparing for competitive exams. First, an aspirant prepare two subjects an optional and a compulsory together. This will help in avoiding any sort of boredom resulted from excessive study of similar topics of a subject. Second very common practice is allocation of 15 days to each subject.
In both of the conditions, reading dawn for current affairs and practice of English composition is highly recommended.
Any sort of correction in this regard is more than appreciated.
