Number of seats depends upon the vacant positions within the departments. So, every year number of positions announced by FPSC varies.
Secondly, for allocation in PAS and FSP, one should be in the list of top 20 candidates in his or her respective province.

Not sure about MLCG, as they have very fewer positions. As far as PCS is concerned, one should be in the top, same like PAS and FSP.
Furthermore, there is nothing like top 30 or 40 in provinces other than Punjab. As, all provinces usually have less than 30 seats.
If we talk about Punjab, There is a hell tough competition, as people after qualifying the written parts were later fail to have any allocation.

Salam
I have 47.8 percent marks in graduation under annual examination. Second division is mentioned on result card. Punjab university award C grade to 50 percentage scorers. 47.8 percentage gets D grade. Am I eligible?
