Preparation in 4 months

Hello everyone I m waiting for my engineering result which is expected to come in November. And I decided to take CSS exam in 2019 because only 4 months are left but now I want to take 2018 exam. Are these 4 months enough to qualify exam? Is it beneficial to take this test for experience or I really have chance to clear this time? any comment or advice will be appreciated.

As there are only four months left, How many hours one should study a day in this four months period?

Don't waste your attempt. Unless there's issue of age..
You can spend as many hours as you want. You can pick the easiest subjects. Still 4 months are not enough time to qualify this exam. You need thorough study for conceptual learning. You can never achieve this in 4 months. You will have at least 5 optional subjects. Which means that you won't have even a month for one subject. Not to mention the in-depth study of the compulsory subjects.

Bottom line: Don't waste your attempt. Plus you will lose peace of mind. On the other hand if you attempt in 2019, you'll have a much better chance at completing the syllabus and being satisfied with your prep. Rather than giving half hearted attempt. Go big or go home

The advice is worth considering. Why would you hurry when you have almost eight years to take your chances? as usually an engineering graduate is twenty two by the time he/she graduates (at least I was 22 back then).

what I have to tell you is, only apply for the CE-18 after going through the rules for conduct of examination because FPSC have a cut off date before which a person must have received his degree. Otherwise FPSC withholds the result and one whole attempt goes to waste.
A friend of mine who graduted from LUMS took the 2014 attempt. He graduated in 2013 but his degree came in January 14. As the application waas submitted with provisional degree in 2013, his result was withheld and not declared after hearing by a board for his degree bore a date after 31 December 2013.

You need to have at least transcript in hand or else your application will be rejected. I applied on the basis of transcript last year but did not appear in the exam. 2018 I will be trying INSHALLAH. Now coming to your question of 4 months every one has their own mindset, approach and educational background. Now I agree with what Nazish has said to quite a extent, but I graduated last year and from then till now I have been giving tests here and there, so I am quite fed up of lying dormant. Now I have started my preparation from August and have collected material and working on notes making as well. If you have faith in yourself and can pull all nighters or dayers whatever you prefer then try. Life is all about trying and taking a chance, applying for every opportunity. This is my two cents hope it is helpful.

Without any previous preparation?
