Default Guidance needed from seniors

AoA friends and specially seniors,

I have been avidly preparing for the CSS examination this time around. So far, I have studied only compulsory subjects. Now that I am going to move towards optional ones, I just want some advice and feedback on my choice of subjects. Whether it is fine or I should change it. My educational background is Electrical Engineering and the subjects I have in mind are:

1) Physics (200)
2) Sociology (100)
3) Gender Studies (100)
4) Town Planning and Urban Management (100)
5) History of USA (100)

Should I go with them or any change suggested?

Physics is a bit lengthy .
Consulting foreign authors is mandatory .Do not take this subject lightly .
I am not discouraging you .Since i have prepared physics .I can tell that it needs quite a serious approach and preparation .
Good Luck.
Socio is fine,.
GS is also fine .but be prepare for shockers in GS.
TP and USA are quite tricky ...
Think before you leap .!
