Default CSS (Lost Guy)

Hello everyone, I hope everyone are doing fine. My name is nehad, I've just completed matric my with Grade B. Now my thoughts are all about CSS. I couldn't sleep at nights excited thinking about it or how could I be appearing on this exam and curios about how to put the seat belt on and go for a ride. I'm totally lost, I don't have much understanding about it apart from knowing that it's all about general information, International x Pakistan relarions. My vocabulary is very bad and I lack the sentence structure which can be seen here, surely. Now I need all the basic tips and advices to improve all of these. There's alot of time for improvement of course, but I want to start early. Please guide me some daily routines of whatnot and what to do to improve all of these aspects specially my vocabulary and structure.

Thank you for sticking till the end. (Please move this if it is on the wrong section)

As you said, it’s too early. Nevertheless, on a daily basis you should read a good English language newspaper. It will help you with vocabulary and grammar and will also be useful for many compulsory and optional subjects.

To have a vision and a dream so profound is a good thing .But , make a two-pronged strategy.

First ,plan for another career if ,unfortunately ;
a) CSS does not remain as lucrative and appealing as it is now .
b) You do not make it through .CSS is very uncertain .Luck has a very dominant role here .You cannot ace it just by hard work.(freshers have a hard time accepting this harsh reality)

So , have a plan B.

Second part of the strategy is ; start working on English (vocab ,expression etc ).FOr this,consult recommended books by FPSC . you can find them in the syllabus provided at the FPSC website .

Next , watch documentaries .read magazines of international repute to improve your understanding of world affairs .

As time passes ,analyze the dynamics of css .If it kept its brilliance and appeal .Start preparing other subjects and prepare yourself for the D-day. ..

One more thing , do not stress yourself so much that you cannot sleep at night ..It is okay to have a big dream but CSS is not the only privileged career .There are other wonders too..With time ,you will understand that life is not about just one job or career .

And , this forum has myriad of information .Explore every thread and you will find answers to your every question .
I hope , it clears some of your dilemmas
