Hello,

I will be appearing in 2013 and I live abroad. I am also finding it hard to set deadlines etc. My optional subjects are:

Kindly let me know if any of our subjects match and maybe we can co-ordinate something.

Hi,

I want to ask whether it is important to join any academy or self-study is a better option?

My mother is reluctant about me joining academy because she doesn't trust them. She thinks these small academies are not reputed enough to trust. But everyone I ask say its must to join a good academy to streamline the knowledge and for a scheduled study.

I just want to know what difference does academy bring? If I am disciplined enough, does it really matter to join academy sessions? Would I be missing something?

Well CSS requires a lot of self study. By joining an academy you can have tips and a way for the preparation only. If you are disciplined enough then you should not join any academy you can get guidelines from the forum also as its the largest and best academy where many senior members will guide you all around. Thats what i can suggest.. Regards

Thank you Alimullah.

My optionals are

Indo-Pak history
Public Admin
Sociology
Journalism
International Relations or International Law

International Relations has a lengthy syllabus, also theories and approaches are quite new for me. So I am thinking of replacing it with International Law.

Anyone wants to join me with studies?

For Psychology i am suggested book by Feldman. Right now i am in New Zealand so don't have access to books. Can just go through the notes available online on CSS forum. I will be visiting Pak in end of January so will be bringing books with me.

What do u think from where should we start? and How many subjects should we cover each month?
Salam hope ur fine sir can i ask u that if ur settled in a beautiful, peaceful country of new zealand why is it that you want a govt job in pakistan. I mean for me personally it is either css or to look for some pvt job but you are in a much better position. Its not you but i have noticed a few people who are abroad and wanna give css a try which is quite frankly not an easy task at all. I am just curious what motivates you to jump in this swamp.
