Dear, I do not expect any positive news regarding CSS age relaxation in the near future. This is an issue of common man and its does not fall in the list of personal interests of our Khadims. Yes if you are going to contest election then you do not need graduation anymore because that was the real issue for our Khadims. What further we can expect from them?

Respected Fellows!
Here are the letters which I received from Establishment Division and Cabinet Division..... 1... Govt. Of Pakistan Establishment Division No. 1.6.2014 Mr. Liaqat Ali Subject: Age Relaxation for CSS Competitive Examination. Sir, I am directed to refer to your application on the subject cited above and to state that CSS Competitive Examination is conducted under prescribed Rules framed by FPSC and it is not the prerogative of Establishment Division to increase or decrease the upper age limit.. Your faithfully, Hamid Saeed Kayani T.V 2.... Govt. Of Pakistan Cabinet Secretariat. No.4.14.2013-T-V Mr. Liaqat Ali Subject: Request For Enhancement Of Age Limit For CSS Examination. I am directed to refer to your application to the Prime Minister, on the subject cited above. prior to competitive Examination 2001, the age limit for fresh candidate was 21 to 30 years whereas 03 years relaxation upto the age of 33 years was allowed for the candidates belonging to different categories as indicated in the CSS Rules. The National Security Council in the year 2000 considered the summary submitted by Establishment Division to lower the age limit in CSS competitive Examination and decided that the maximum age for fresh candidates will be 28 years and a relaxation of two years will be allowed to the candidates of backward areas. IN THE YEAR 2008, FPSC proposed two years increase in the upper age limit for CSS CE and the matter was placed before the Cabinet for consideration. However, Cabinet did not approve the proposal of FPSC. AGAIN IN 2011, matter was reviewed and a summary for the PRIME MINISTER proposing placement of earlier proposal of FPSC for two years increase in the upper age limit for CSS Competitive Examination before Cabinet, was submitted. However, PRIME MINISTER did not approve the proposal. Your faithfully, Shahid Raza Section Officer 3... FPSC ask Govt. to Enhance upper age limit of candidates. THE NEWS. Tuesday, August 09, 2011. The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has approached the government for reverting to the 30-year age limit for CSS aspirants, which was reduced to 28 years in 2001 by Pervez Musharraf, The News learnt here on Saturday. FPSC sources claimed the commission has approached the Establishment Division in this regard, hoping Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani would not have any objection to fulfilling a long-standing demand of hundreds of thousands of youth, who wanted to take part in the competitive Exams but could not due to the lower age limit. Former military ruler Musharraf, through an ordinance, without consulting anyone, had lowered the upper age limit from 30 years to 28 years for those interested in appearing in the competitive exams. The Age limit in South Asian countries is 30 years. The sources conceded that the lowering of age had hit hard those belonging to lower middle and middle class segments of society. They noted lower and upper age limit and the related rules were thrashed by a democratic dispensation after a concerted exercise but a military ruler had changed it in one go, and this continued to deprive thousands of youth from appearing in the CSS exams every year. The Youth urged for giving at least 5-years age relaxation for CSS exams. It is pertinent to note that five-year age relaxation was given on the strong recommendation of the Senate Standing committee. Regards, Liaqat Ali |

How is this motive being pursued? Is the case for increase in upper age limit for appearing in CSS being heard by any court of law in Pakistan, or only the politicians / bureaucrats are being urged to make / suggest an amendment in the constitutional provisions?

any updates regarding the case
Quote:
i am highly concerned about this case as I have no preparation at all for CSS 2015. I haven't even started it yet. I have opted CSS once before and failed in the written part. The reason is that i am having little time to devote for studies due to my responsibilities and circumstances Thus I have two remaining chances according to the chances availed but also according to my age this would be my last chance of css for the year 2015. I will be 28 till april 2015. I have seen your thread in CSS Forum wherein (you) Mr. Liaquat has stated that he is fighting a judicial case for increasing the maximum age limit for appearing in the exam. Some members have also stated that some politicians are in favor of such an increase in the age limit. So can there ever be a chance for increase in the upper age limit in the near future and should I point my hopes for increase in the upper age limit? And keeping hopes for an increase in the upper age limit, should I not appear in CSS 2015 WHICH WOULD BE MY SECON AND THE FINAL CHACE TO TAKE CSS ..... also considering the fact that I have no preparation of the exam at all? I want sincere reply from any seniors or CSPs please. Please help me, it would be a major decision ever in my life for deciding to appear in CSS 2015 or otherwise.
