The only solution in my opinion is a dharna and a hunger strike infront of parliament house. What you all say lets do it. Otherwise no one cares about us

Sit-ins and hungers strike rarely achieve anything. My fraternity (doctors) have been doing the same for many years with next to zero outcome. Politicos make promises and everything gets settled; later all the promises are forgotten. Another example of the recent Imran Khan dharna also proves that even this strategy cannot make them "care". The course of action being taken already (i.e. via senate) is the best one. Rest is up to those who are getting affected, others can only advise.

Don't compare this issue of age relaxation with the resignation of Nawaz sharif or the unrealistic demands of doctors. He is right, sit ins and dharna can be effective. Age relaxation is an easily resolvable issue as we this is only changes in rules. We are not demanding facilities or increase in salaries or any other unrealistic perks.

Can anyone of you draw the attention of any news anchor to this issue?? There are so many talk shows why one should not do on this issue??? One who has approach to media instead of social media though social media is also a good option to highlight and make this viral ;only petitions would not work; the things are going too sluggishly October is on its way !!

Assalam o alaikum! Today i discussed this issue with Rahimullah Yousafzai. He said that he will ask a senator about its progress then will inform you.

I have been going through newspapers and senate website to extract any updated information on css age increase issue. Today, I visited senate website and noted that senate has changed outlook of its website in addition with some new features. A telephone number is also provided to get information about senate working. The number is +92-51- 9022022. I instantly called the number and asked about the discussion during 19 August govt. assurances committee and update on the said issue. The transferred me to another number where someone gave me the number (051-9022757) for asking issues related to govt. assurances committee.

I dialed the number and asked about the 19 august meeting update and discussion. A person informed me that minutes of meeting will be finalized in about a month. I asked him about any decision taken regarding css age issue. He said that it was decided that senate will recommend the government to do legislation for increasing age and govt. will do the same afterwards. I particularly asked him whether they have kept the CSS-2016 attempt in their mind to do legislation and to facilitate candidates to appear in CSS-2016. He said this attempt of CSS-2016 has been considered important while discussing such that candidates may able to avail this chance. He further said that whenever any decision regarding this issue is finalized it will be uploaded within a week on the website and also the updated on the status of a number of public petitions.

I suggest to please go on dialing the number 051-9022757 from time to time to get updated information. Also, if any one manages to approach some high official, etc. he may request him to dial the number to get more detailed information.

The number is related to senate government assurances committee through which I have talked today with a senate staff.
