I have done Acca , worldwide and now even in Pakistan it is equalant to Masters degree .Is a person holding Acca degree eligible for sitting is CSS exams and IB , NAD AD ?

i am not sure about your eligibility at this stage whether you have done with that honorary degree or not..but one thing is sure that acca was never and still not equivalent to masters degree and it applies both worldwide and pakistan. what they offer is some honorary Bsc honors degree in accounting from oxford brooks university which is equivalent to graduation and if you already have that degree after submitting your thesis you can easily apply in all these exams as i know my friend did this 4 years back and had appeared in css exam with that bsc honors degree he earned after after completing acca.

In Pakistan, Only an associate chartered accountant (ACA) of ICAP can claim for equivalent to M.COM degree in Pakistan. For your eligibility , you must pursue B.Sc HOns from Oxford Brookes (after acca level II) and then apply to HEC for its equivalence to Pakistani Graduation.

you can apply for equivalence certificate to hec if you a ACCA member for m.com but to apply you have to make sure you are ACCA MEMBER and you hold a intermediate certificate then you can appear in CSS with acca qualification i am also a ACCA but qualified BA from P.U to Appear in CSS 2012

Guidelines for award of equivalence certificate to the ACCA qualified members as
equivalent to M.Com degree involving sixteen (16) year of education
The Higher Education Commission has devised the guidelines to award equivalence
certificate/letter to ACCA qualified members under the following terms and conditions:
i. HEC will only recognize the membership of ACCA UK (Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK (after completion of professional qualification and
other requisites including training and required professional experience) for
equivalency.
ii. There will be no exemption awarded to the incomplete or part qualification of ACCA.
iii. Initial admission in ACCA programme MUST be after having 12 years of education
(Intermediate level, A-level or equivalence certificate from IBCC Pakistan) otherwise
case will not be entertained.
Procedure for Application:
i. Applicant should apply on the HEC prescribed Equivalence form (E-01) available on
the HEC website.

ii. The holder of ACCA is required to provide and present the following documents (in
original) along with their copies:
a. Certificate of ACCA membership,
b. Level completion certificates/transcripts,

from IBCC Pakistan,
e. Matriculation level certificate/’O’ level certificate or Equivalency certificate
from IBCC Pakistan,
f. All other supporting documents as mentioned on the equivalence form.
iii. The applicant has to pay requisite equivalency fee of Rs. 5000 (non-refundable)


By having m.com degree can i appear for AD NAB OR AD IB POST ?

No ACCA's are not eligible for CSS.. as ACCA is just a certification and not a degree, its only equivalent to M.com, and i think FPSC and CSS is a serious business.. they dont consider equivalency certification.. if u have done M.com or had pursued your master in addition to ACCA.. only then u r eligible..

and i think tests like IB and ISI and other ex cadre services strictly require master degree holders as eligible

Acca is a much serious business as far as mba and other masters are concerned and i meant to ask that if i get equalance then can i appear for AD IB etc posts
