Default Help and direction needed

Assalam Alaikum everyone.
I am Shahbaz and i am a new member on this forum. I have been regularly following different topics on this forum to get an idea of how to start off with my preparation for CE-2015 papers. However, it is all very confusing. Some people say we should opt subjects that we have studied earlier in our academic careers, while others are of the opinion that we should go for subjects that are high scoring. Currently i am enrolled in SZABIST (Karachi) Media Science program and would like to appear for CSS as soon as i have my degree. I hope to complete my degree by summer of 2014 and appear for CSS papers in Feb' 2015. Where should i start from and when should i start preparing for the papers? What are the chances of a person ending up with an allocation in FSP, keeping in mind the candidate is appearing from SindhU domicile? I do not lack the determination that is required in order to pass these papers, and i find myself very much capable of passing CSS in the first attempt. However, without proper direction, i may never be able to succeed in my goal.
I thank you all for your help and valued contributions to this forum.

w.salam,

i was also a student at szabist karachi but recently finished my MBA from there. Well, i would advise you to prepare compulsory subject first. then choose your optional subjects. now, depends on you which subjects you want to choose. whatever you choose make sure you completely master that subject. may be a subject is scoring but you are not a champion in it. so choose accordingly. best of luck

Dear!
First of all, read the whole CSS syllabus carefully and select the subjects of your interest, candidates always want to pick those subjects which are thought to be more scoring but remember that it always depend upon the candidates that how much marks he can score. All optional are scoring if the candidate have prepared it in an efficient manner.
Start your compulsory subjects first.
Go through all the past papers, compulsory as well as optional and extract an aggregate of the important questions which have been asked repeatedly and prepare those very questions to the point of mastery.
Good Luck.
