CSS Prepation help for new comers.

Hi,

I have done BS-Hons in computer science from Punjab University, Lahore. Currently working in a UK based software house in Lahore as a senior software engineer and also i am working with ministry of defense as consultant.

I want to appear for CSS exams for 2014. As i said my majors are in computer science.

Which subjects you people suggest me to select for CSS and how should i start my preparation. Means how much time i should give to a specific subject and Please also suggest me good books for each subject (If Possible, Will be Thankful for this kind act. :) ).
Any other suggestion regarding study and preparation will be highly appreciated. Like reading dawn newspaper, reading economist etc.

As i mentioned i am working for 2 different organizations, but i can easily spare 8-10 hours daily for CSS. Is this time is enough for me for a reasonable preparation or should i quit my jobs and should only prepare for exam.

Currently i am getting 90,000 Plus salary. So it would be very difficult for me to quit my job and survive.

Please seniors and CSS qualified brothers , help me in this manner.

Thank You

Pick up Computer Science first and fir rest 400 marks opt from below subjects
Geography, Psychology, Islamic History or British History or Indo-Pak History, Arabic or Persian (200 Marks Each sibject)

International Law, Punjabi, Journalism, Sociology, Public Administration and Forestry (100 marks Each Subject)

As you said above you can get spare 8-10 hours. Yes this time is good enough to pass CSS provided that you work with due concentration to achieve your goal. You have ample time 8 hours for 8 months not a bad deal...;)

As far as Newspaper is concerned have a birds eye view of hot news after that jump to Columns and Editorials pages. That's it.

I'll suggest you that do prepare for CSS but don't risk your job as you are having a healthy salary. May be seniors differ with me but that's my simcere suggestion brother. Rest is upto you.
