Moreover, putting all your eggs in the same basket would generate obsession with CSS and if God forbid you fail to qualify, frustration would be a natural result. So in all these vicissitudes of CSS you must be in need of a support to fall back upon which only your current job can provide. Anyhow, Good Luck and think over it.
Does it really take that long for the final results? I thought it took the FPSC till Nov/Dec to wrap up after the February examinations in the same year to issue appointments.

Default Span of CSS exam

Dear Friend!
Just look at the 2013 exam,
1st Stage: Written Exam February, 2013.
2nd stage: Result Declared, November, 2013.
3rd stage: Medical Tests, .........
4th stage: Psychological Tests...........
5th stage: Interview..........
6th stage: Dispatch of offer letters.......

Due to the above mentioned stages, CSS takes some 14 to 18 months, though I slightly exaggerated the span in my previous post. So CSS exam is a lengthy but an enjoyable examination.
Good Luck!

Agree with you... One must not put all his eggs in one basket at once Because we can only hope for the best but no one knows what future may bring as they say,
Hope. It is the only thing stronger than fear. A little hope is effective. A lot of hope is dangerous.

JazakAllah

Of course we must keep our spirits high.Success and failure are part of life.We should not let our will faded away.If one doesn't lose courage, then nothing is lost. But if courage is lost, then everything is lost.I need your prayers for the final exam and wish you too success!
Regards!
