Academy

I want to know how important is academy for CSS preparation. What will I miss if I don't join? A sincere advice from senior members will be very appreciable. Also suggest me a good academy in Islamabad. Thanks.

Academies are good. Why?

They give you a classroom environment. And anyone who says that studying at home is a perfect alternative for classrooms and teachers should also tell the government to close all the schools, colleges and universities and post textbooks to students' homes.

You can make friends which have common goals. You'll stay in touch with them and remain motivated. Motivation is a very important factor.

Your teachers will give you feedback about your tests. They can give answers to all your questions. You will talk to them about your problems. They will motivate you.

Some negatives: They are expensive! If you stick there too long, you might be just wasting time. They teach limited subjects.

Go there with an aim; aim to help you pass the exam. Don't let any other thing: opposite sex, friendships get in the way.

Tailpiece: Don't join an academy if you have Attention deficit disorder. I suffer from it so I don't find classrooms a perfect way to gain anything.
