Hey everyone,
I just have query about height requirement for DSP. Can anyone tell me about min. height required to be inducted as DSP? And chest or other physical requirements, too.

Those who are promoted from junior rank like inspector are DSP, their required minimum height is 5 feet 7 inches, but those who are directly selected are called ASP, for ASP required height is 5 feet 4 inches. Both are of 17th scale

Are you sure for direct selection as ASP min height requirement is 5'4"? Pardon if it annoys you

According to COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION 2015 RULES Annex A:

Candidates whose height is less than 1524 millimeters (5 feet) will not be considered physically fit for appointment to any of the BS 17 post under the Federal Government. In the case of female candidates, this standard will be
reduced to 1473 millimeters (4 feet 10 inch) for posts which are completely sedentary provided the weight of such candidates is not less than 43.5 kilograms except disabled candidates.

In the above mentioned paragraph it is mentioned about all groups except Police Services

For Police Services minimum height and chest ratio is this:
1626 millimeter (5 feet 4 inch ) height, 851 millimeter (33.5 inch) Breadth when fully expanded, Range of expansion not less than 51 millimeter (2 inch).

The candidate’s height will be measured as follows:—
He/She will remove his/her shoes and be placed against the standard with his/her feet together and the weight thrown on the heels, and not on the toes or outer sides of the feet. He/She will stand erect without rigidity and with the heels, calves, buttocks and shoulders touching the standard; the chin will be depressed to bring the vertex of the head level under the horizontal bar and the height will be recorded in millimeters.
