Question Suggestion needed
I have started preparing town planning but not going so good. The other optionals which i can select are from the last group.
Among them, i am interested in sociology and psychology. For which i should go?

Members whom had started preparing them please suggest.

You must go for sociology. Psychology has lengthy syllabus for 100 marks.

Go for Sociology. Much better choice than psychology.

Length is not a matter for me. I have much time to prepare any of these. I am 2017 aspirant


@Man janbazam

I am interested in biological sciences as well as social sciences but i am weak in preparing theories such as functionalism, idealism and so on. Psychology has some biological perspectives. Its a stage of 60-40.
What would you suggest now.

Biological portion of Psychology is only 20% of whole syllabus whereas the rest of syllabus is more or less based on the different schools of thought i.e. functionalism, structuralism, behaviorism etc. which are difficult for you as you said. Majority of the topics require a deep understanding of these concepts. So, considering the fact that you find these concepts difficult and also it is lengthy, you should go for Sociology which is short as well as easy to understand with no alien concepts.

Well, psychology comprise only schools of thought, among them i had prepared behaviouralism in detail during my graduation. The rest syllabus is interesting but sociology has the last two parts comprising of these theories due to which i am in a fix

What are your optionals. Have you studied sociology.

My optionals were Psychology, Geography, Sociology and Journalism for CE-15.

Still I would suggest you to go for Sociology. It will also help you in Essay thing. Moreover I hope you have gone through past papers. Evaluate yourself. If you are dead sure that you can make big difference by opting Psychology, there should be no confusion left then in opting it.

Post Psychology or Sociology
Luckily, I have studied both these subjects in 2014 for CE-2015, although I did not appear because of some personal reasons. Keeping everything in my mind, I shall vote for Psychology.
