Like essay and precise papers, islamiat too is the most dangerous paper where aspirants fail to get through in it. i , myself, didnt manage to get the passing percentage in ce 2015. the reason behind such failures is the inability of the candidates to answer in a logical and more attracting way. the past trend of making islamiat paper has been changed, now the examiner demands more instinct and intellectual skill rather than the tradition of memorizing few verses and hadiths to pass it.
As far as your querry is concerned, start reviewing the past papers, specifically, question papers of 2010 aqnd onwards. Think over the question and try to conclude the question in a complete sense.
The following topics are worthy here to mention. practice it. make notes at your own.

Discuss the concept of peace in islam. highlight the strategies to bring peace in contemporary era?

what are the problems of muslim ummah? how the grievances of todays ummah be addressed?

discuss the concept of women rights and make comparison of the women rights in eastern and western societies?

what do you know about jihad? mention the strategies to implement jihad in true spirit in current era?

you can practice some aspects of the basic faiths, namaz, roza, hajj etc
