My brother is a cadet CAE-86 and my dad was a non commissioned soldier. (Havaldar) Don't blame your incompetence on the system. Learn to change your mistakes. Yes, the question is asked but there is nothing of minimum colonel level. Many of my school friends went to army. Girls and boys both, parents of all belonged to non commissioned ranks. Many backward pakhtuns are selected who are mesmerized to see the academy. If you are good enough, nothing can stop you. Please don't believe in such rumours. And prepare for psych assessment beforehand. It matters a lot. Sent from my QMobile S2 using Tapatalk |

fpsc is the most slow department of Pakistan, FPSC is under control of Judiciary, and judiciary is the most corrupt department of Pakistan,

Bhaio aur Behno.. This is Pakistan, not Europe or America where things are generally fair in such things like recruitment etc.
After college, I spent a whole year to get myself fit for army because I was overweight, went to the gym, did horse riding for my knee knock, swimming etc. Then the doctor told me that I need to do a chest operation, I did that in CMH, was laying besides wounded soldiers in CMH Peshawar. Stood up later that day and went with a nurse to the doctor who was a lt.col, he objected and scolded the nurse for taking me to him because I could barely walk with tubes hanging from my chest. After a month or so, I passed the preliminary physical tests including running, reached ISSB, GTO didn't seem to like me much, I got not recommended. Applied again in 124, passed running etc with a better position, reached ISSB, GTO seemed to like me a lot, got not recommended. Then I wrote a letter to Gen Kiyani, they replied that nothing can be done and that I should complete my studies and try for other courses. But looking back, I am glad they didn't take me but I do regret not trying for PAF instead as I really wanted to become a fighter pilot.. Don't ask me the reasons but I think most of us know the ground reality. I have similar feelings for CSS too, it is not the same CSS that my elders served in. Nowadays the focus is to go abroad or start your own business. |

You are right Kingfalcon. Just hardwork, , passion, struggle, Dedication and Courage Depend for Success, and those people who always search a shortcut way for Success then i believe they will be failed in their mission, Always be positive, don't blame anyone, everything is not fair and good in pakistan, but we must continue our struggle for the success,
aur zindagi serf apne lye Jeeny ka Naam nahi, dosro k lye bhi sochna chahye,

One time I was among those, who believe that, if somebody want to become a commissioned officer in Army, he/she should have strong reference. One of my friend in college, who belong to a very backward area and he is only person from his village who first time entered into the Intermediate education. He has a passion and dream to become a commissioned officer and we all laughed at him. His father was a taxi driver, who hardly earn 500-600 daily. After completing his FSC he try his best and Passed ISSB and medical but not selected and his name was in the waiting List. But he didn't upset rom his failure and started his planning for next and then finally he got selected for Army. My opinion is sometime we believe that we possessed all the traits that they want, but we are lack of those. Believe me, Allah made better plan for us always.

Selection in army is 99% on merit.Im saying 99 percent because no where in the world selection is on 100 percent merit. There is always a tiny bit of role played by reference etc, even in foreign countries.Personal experience.
