Multi-Million Dollar business or CSS?
 

Hello mates,

I have just joined CSS forums but i am reading it since around 2 years back. I would like to get to point straight. Thing is that over past few years I am very confused to pick CSS as a career option. I am currently 25 years old engineer serving in a govt department. Although very satisfied with my job, I always had greed for some social status and power.

Since I have 3 years left at my age and my 2 years service in govt department may further extend my age limit to 30 years. SO in total, 5 years are left for me to make it if I could.

But the thing is that over the years my little grown hi-tech start-up I started some years back is thriving by leaps and bound and I am certain In Sha Allah that it can grow into couple hundred million dollar based business in next two to three years but only if I put all my effort and time into it.

So basically now I have two options, either to develop business or to prepare for CSS.I want social status and power which I doubt I can get direct-hand even getting that type of success (some of my friends say that "that much" money can land unlimited power into your hands because of connections, but I want direct power - not dependent on others for every action I want to take)

Secondly, It cannot be so, like I attempt for CSS now and If I qualify then pursue for business later on, since market dynamics are not always the same. Opportunity at hand today may not be there 1-2 years down the road.

Only one option can be taken since time is a constraint here. I have repeatedly thought about going for CSS along with keeping business end but it is harder for me. And I also don't want to leave business altogether since its a big deal.

For those who might haven't taken my stance above seriously, I would be more elaborative; suppose $200-$500 million at your disposal every year. I am talking about building a large company here. I have worked very hard to carve all the road maps and until now I am well on my way. Al Hamdulillah!!

That's the reason I thought I must take an advice from you people. Looking toward your suggestions anxiously!

I would go for CSS. Anyone can be a billionaire, but only a few hundred people every year pass CSS in Pakistan.

Anyone can be a billionaire?
 

Thanks for response but dude last time when you saw a billionaire? Your neighbor next door?

Bureaucracy, military and politics (up to some extent) are powerful sects of our society. Had our system been a just one, like in western countries I would never had a second thought and had selected business as a choice.

Corruption in our culture has made my decision tough.

Maybe you find my answer little emotional or typical but if you think.....

Right now, this country needs billion dollar business. There are many who could be very qualified and brilliant CSP but may be none of them would be an owner of multimillion business. And business can also give you power....

Moreover, you should go where your heart is... otherwise for the rest of your life, you will be happy but not delighted..... ALLAH has not told any reason why he give someone money and power, HE says "He give whomever He wants to give" so put your believe for these two things in ALLAH and choose what gives you pleasure.....

I would suggest u to start ur business in time coz CSS is uncertain option. Bro .u can live stressless and luxurous life in abroad. HALAL EARING will make ur future generation happy and blessed .

I think it will be right to choose both but not for power. If you think about the power you can never get success in any field of you life.

Brother,If you would ask here mostly asnwers will be like that:)... but as you replied him so bluntly. i guess your more than 50% mind is saying i would go for business:).. and remember one thing there are two ways to solve this kinda circumstances 1 is ask from ALLAH.. and 2nd one is write pros and cons of both matters.

you said you if you try harder and focus on your business you will get success which will be in couple of hundrd millions Dollars:) (Matlab aasra hi nahi bhai rupees ma bat kar letay:)....) so brother as you said that you are serving Govt Job at age or 25 means you can focus on your business for 2 years more, then you will be 27... and i guess for Govt employees age is 30 for CSS. after you complete your 2 years of hard work on business if you still wish to go for CSS then go for it or make billions from millions:)......and its true money can buy you everything logon ki baton main mat jana CSP b politicians k neechay hi rehtay hain but paisay wala politicians ko khush rakh sakta hai:)... so stay blessed ALLAH will help you with the right path INSHALLAH.. baqi yh jo aspirants hain engineers in ko b ap hire kar lena agar koi meri tarha ka nalaiq hwa CSS na kar saka to:)
