I wish to know about this recent high court order as well as many prospective candidates are dropping out or getting demotivated to continue their studies for 2018 competitive examination.

It was ordered by LHC to add a compulsory subject of Urdu plus option given for all rest of subjects to be taken either in Urdu or English. So it's up to candidates to take all papers in Urdu or English. But what's creating havoc is addition of another Compulsory (Urdu) subject to the list.

The decision was earlier taken by SC in 2015, however not followed immediately. Later upon petition by a candidate (2016) the court (HC) observed: only one month is left so we can't move things at this moment, however later they ordered as mentioned above.

Regards

Sad!

Angry

We love Urdu but superimposing it on us is quite unfair; to convert our entire centrifuge of life into another. Nor Urdu compulsory be added in 2018. Why shouldn't they just give option of all subjects in either Urdu or English to facilitate both instead of asking fish to climb a tree? Those boneheads on rolling-chairs should think before throwing a decision on entire nation.
