While selecting the optional subjects keep following points in mind; ALWAYS review the syllabus. Some syllabuses are lengthier than others, and are just work 100 marks. You want to pick an optional that will require less study hours and can add the maximum value to your cumulative score. Syllabus meme Select subjects you are already familiar with. Many people argue against this wisdom, and suggest that you must select optional(s) that are high scoring. There is no such thing as a high scoring optional – its all relative to the examiner who will check your exam! Some subjects are easy to score because everyone knows at least something about them,or they have a very limited syllabus which makes them easier to prepare. Islamiat, General Science and Ability,Constitutional law, language are usually touted as scoring subjects. Whatever subjects you select, print their syllabus and keep a track of the topics you have covered, take responsibility of your own preparation and don’t just rely on books guaranteeing you a good score in CSS – half the time they don’t know what they are talking about. More ever, by visiting these following threads, you can get a better idea in this very regard. http://www.cssforum.com.pk/beginners...ect-selection/ http://www.cssforum.com.pk/beginners...jects-css.html https://norccacss.wordpress.com/2016...-combinations/

You need to replace one subject at No. 1 and No. 4 as both of them are not that much good regarding fetching good marks. Though the scheme and syllabi have been overhauled to a great extent but the scoring trends 'will' remain 'the very same'. IR is far better than Political Science, think about Indo-Pak History too. Good luck!
