It is requested to seniors that if someone has the date of birth 31-12-1989, he/ she is eligible to be appeared in CE-18. Please reply earlier. Thanks

You can appear for 3 consecutive(2018,2019,2020)attempts.

You don't need Sir Incounterable to help you here.

Here are the rules: http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/fi...2018-Rules.pdf

I will paste the relevant section for you:
i.e. a candidate born on or before 31st December 1987 and on or after 2nd January, 1997 will NOT be eligible

This is because the age limit was increased to 30 years.

Also, in 2020 you will not be eligible if you have this date of birth. So you only have two attempts remaining.

He can appear in 2020 as well,for CE 2020,cutoff date would be 31st December 2019,at that time and on that day he would be exactly 30

Read the statement from the FPSC rules that i posted. It is pretty clear he will not be eligible.

For 2020 it should read like this:
i.e. a candidate born on or before 31st December 1989 ... will NOT be eligible

I believe you're right as per the instructions given by Fpsc..
That means he has next two chances only(2018&2019)
Confusion caused by me is much regretted!

Once you attain 30 years of age, even if it is on 31st Dec of that year, you are out of chances for CSS.


By CE-20's cut-off (31st Dec 2019) you will be exactly 30 years and not eligible for CSS anymore without age relaxation claimed.


So you have CE-18 and CE-19 at your disposal.
