Default Want Guidance in selecting the Optional Subjects for CSS Exam

Assalam u Alaikum.

Hope you all are doing well. I am an aspirant of CSS like all others in this group and a new member as well, having an aim to appear in the CSS Exam after 2 years completing my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and getting successful in the exam IN SHA ALLAH.

Basically I need guidance in choosing the optional subjects. Though I have already chosen the subjects from the related groups which reflects my general and specific interest in my targeted occupational groups which are PAS, FOREIGN SERVICE and INFORMATION GROUP, but confused in making the final combination from those subjects. The subjects which I have chosen are listed below:

GROUP I: Political Science, International Relations
GROUP III: Governance and Public Policies, Town Planning and Urban Management
GROUP IV: European History, History Of USA
GROUP VI: Constitutional Law, International Law
GROUP VII: Journalism and Mass Communication, Sociology

It is requested to all the experienced and current aspirants to give their valuable opinion and guide me in this matter by suggesting your combination from the above mentioned subjects which you think would be best according to my mentioned occupational groups so that I can get an idea, make the final combination of optional subjects and start preparing for these subjects bit by bit from now onwards, thus mastering in all the subjects till the end. Thank You

Considering that CE exams are unexpected, it would be better to go through the syllabus of subjects that seem interesting to you. Turns out that, many a time, those subjects are not always as simple as they look and before we know it, they end up becoming our Achilles heels. So take your time and make this decision based on your understanding of a subject because that's what's going to save you in case the examiners decide to give completely different kind of questions than expected.

All the best :-)

Well MGaz, true that!
I have gone through the syllabus of these subjects and I realized that they are not that easy, but yes my interest does lie in these subjects. After all, preparation phase will reveal their true sides

Danishrazasyed, my majors have been Programming, Networking, Computer Architecture, Artificial Intelligence in Computer Sciences. By the way, I will graduate in 2019.
I plan to appear in 2021 and would be preparing in 2020. Therefore, I would also be needing a study partner in 2020. I have sent you a friend request on this forum, waiting for your positive response so that we can be in contact for studying in future IN SHA ALLAH

Ameena Masood, don't get confused. Go through the syllabus of the subjects, see your interest and choose them, as I did.

Masood Ehsan Bhatti, well scoring trends does matter but I actually don't rely on them. Instead, I believe in making new scoring trends

elixirhtc, no way!
I have always been interested in the subjects of social sciences and this exam will give me a chance to study them, while I have got fed up studying computers and its mechanism. So, would not be losing the opportunity :P
