Default What's the point of "General Age Relaxation of 5 Years"?

In various government job ads, we can see "General Age Relaxation of 5 Years", I've read somewhere that this age relaxation is for everyone. If it is so, what's the point of mentioning age relaxation separately in the ad? Why don't they simply write that "Age limit is 35 years" (instead of 30 Years with 5 years age relaxation)?

Because the age relaxation is for special cases/individuals (i.e, for those who either are serving in government or armed forces, or those who are considered to be the inhabitants of tribal areas).

But i have also heared that this general age relaxation is for everyone. It not mandatory that one should have government employee to claim the age relaxation. Isn't it ? Please make us clear ??

There are different age relaxations for each special case (disabled, widow, govt. employee, Fata inhabitants etc). Some even more than 5 years. So, this general age relaxation should be different from those cases.

No, the 5 years general relaxation is for every one, with or without a claim, besides, yes, the question that why don't they say 35 , is still there..

The reason is that in the past, the age limit was usually 28-30 for most of government jobs. So after request by unemployed candidates, the government passed a bill which increased age limit by 5years for most of government jobs. So by law now 5 years general age relaxation applies to most of government jobs.

So, mentioning 5 years age relaxation separate from base age limit is required by law and there is no other rationale? That's strange.
