Default Is there any role of examination centre?

Is there any role of examination centre?

For example, I have heard from some reputable sources i.e. teachers and CSP’s that taking the exam from a rural or backward centre (Larkana, DG Khan, Sukkur, Bahawalpur, Okara etc.) can provide good marks. Because they are backward centres and usually students have not prepared up to the mark if compared with candidates from Lahore or Karachi. Examiner check copies with leniency. But in Lahore, examiner checks strictly. If a candidate preparing from Lahore appears at these centres will get more marks than at Lahore.
Thank you.

Examination centers don't have any role. I am sure reputable sources are not giving you accurate information as there are no rural or backward centers. CSS centers are created at at-least division level. Divisions can't be considered backward or rural. In order to level playing field for disadvantaged people there is a quota system for women, minorities and for provinces.
From what I have heard, paper checkers are not aware of the student or any details about the student whose paper they are checking.
So, if anything, mood of checker might play more role in award of marks than the center. Praying that checker doesn't get into an argument with his/her spouse before checking the paper might play more role in securing good marks than choice of center

I have heard this theory too.

It is a matter of common sense, really. If your script goes to the examiner placed inside a bundle of poorly attempted scripts, you will be at a relative advantage. If he checks 10-20 below average answers before you, even your average answer will seem good to him.

That being said, this theory is sometimes extended even to include "passing ratios". Some say that there has been a trend to pass candidates from all centres in a fixed ratio corresponding to the actual quotas (eg if Rural Sindh has a certain quota in the final seats, they will try to pass at least that many candidates from the bundles coming from those areas). I don't know how much truth is to these theories, but I hear them a lot.

I was told by the same sources that Hafiz Karim Dad took his second attempt from DG khan.

I guess if two people are saying that they play a role, then they must play a role. My bad for earlier comment.

I did not criticise or try to prove you wrong. I wanted the opinion from those, who had already attempted the exam.

The condition of examination centers in rural areas is horrible. They don't have backup power generators, and students in my center had to take an exam in the heat of May, in a crowded room with no fans. I am not sure if they will have any advantage, but they at least should receive some compensation.
