Is it essential to join CSS Academy?

Assalam-u-Alaikum to all
i want to know that whether is it essential for a candidate to join CSS academy?
Seniors plz tell what a man can get from academies that he cant get in self preparation?
Because in newspapers academies are claiming to have best positions in previous exams or claiming to have more than 50% pass rate.
what will be futue of the self-studied person???

Well dear a study on self-basis is a good one, but an academy has a uniform syllabus, discussion with experienced teachers, educational environment, group study etc. But one of my teacher asked me to not disclose, especially in one's interview that one prepared/studied from an academy.

Good luck....!

Thanks for your reply.
in your post it is impossible for me to have a answer to my question, because firstly you admitted to have a student self study, than you said
but an academy has a uniform syllabus, discussion with experienced teachers, educational environment, group study etc.
what a new one choose or what is better for one for his future please?

Well....Dear aspirant...it is advisable that you MUST join a academy, coz by doing so you can have an overview of the paper pattern, study materials, what should a student do and what should not during exam BUT during academy classes time is wasted a lot...so the pattern should to JOIN academy in ONE year and ATTEMPT must be taken in the coming year by self study..ofcourse if TIME is not short for you...Generally speaking academy does help but this is You who will make the difference by your self study in the end..Finishing touch will be given by your self study.

I hope you got the point

@ Chaudray12

Choudry Sabb it is crystal clear that I said that it is good one but one should join an academy and latter on, I told you the benefits of joining of an academy. Then I told you experience of one of my teacher who advised me that one should not disclose that one studied through an academy.

Uniform Syllabus means that The Tutors at academy has made a syllabus for students which won't bother them (students) by thinking that 'what to study and what to not?'

Discussion with experienced (who has experience in teaching to CSS Aspirants) teachers. Discussion means sharing knowledge, which ain't just share but divides itself.

Educational Environment means that every one in academy would be intended to study so there would be an environment.

Group Study is closer to discussion.
what a new one choose or what is better for one for his future please?
One should join an academy, in my opinion. But I don't mean to say that after joining, one should feel ease and should not study on self basis.

Thanks for asking

What else???:))

I must say to stay away from the academies and rather study on your own. most of the Academies lie when they tell you that x number of their students passed in the exam. sometimes two or three academies have the same names on their lists. the thing is if a person goes to them for even one day then they put it on their list. as one FPSC invigilator remarked to me while looking at a leaflet from an academy in lahore," they have put all of the passed candidates on their list".
i'd rather advise you to study on your own.

Forget about the future of the self-studied person and concentrate on your studies brother. If you can find any CSP who has qualified recently and he is willing to help you in person then no need to join any academy. In other case option is still wide open.

Adieu.

@ Mahmood
Yes, i agree that most of the academies just lie in their ads that x number of students passed written from their academies, i saw two academy ads in news paper and both of academies are claiming to have 65% passed students are from their academy. but it is impossible bcoz 65% + 65% = 130% (Totaly lie)
i also joined css guru academy in Rawalpindi & didnt get anything from there but to waste time and lose fee.
may ALLAH keep us away from these type of academies that are only in need of money.

academies are useless .. the max u can get from them are notes , which r often not much better than the books avalible in the market .. stay away from them..they just waste time ...
they r useful only for those who have ample time (more than 1 year) at their disposal , and find it difficult to develop a routine on their own
