Go through Editorial and Opinion page first and then look for the current issues. Pay attention to business news as well.

Dear ,as far as my views are concernd ,you have been told aptly that dawn maritoriously help u in building ur vocabulary, making and clearing ur concepts and developing in u the art of writing precis, helping in the choice of essays expected to come in the css exams,as well as equiping u withe the current issues and sensitizing u for sentence structuring.
my opinion for u will be to read the front page, editorial(only important articles) and the page of world in focus.but the books should not be left aside ,give the proper time to the authentic books.Because nothing can replace the treasure hidden in the books.
regards
Rana Atif

And don't forget yellow pages. Newspaper is no substitute to the valued books but it keeps you current and improves your language.
