There are 12 groups / services that you can join after qualifying CSS. There are a number of seats for each group issued by establishment division and the allocations are done under those available seats each year on provincial quota. You have to mention the groups in order of your choice/preference and then the decision of your allocation to a group or service is made on your merit cum choice basis within your provincial quota.

For provincial/open merit quota details visit this link.

Hope that clarifies.

niazikhan,

police and district management group are always at high premium. since you belong to punjab, you must be among top 30 candidates from punjab to secure a seat in psp. to simply matters for you, you must have atleast 860+ score in CSS (written + viva) for it.

regards,

silent spectator,

it's easy to predict for punjab because 90% top merit guys from punjab go for psp/dmg. that's not the case with balochistan. it may have no seat at all. or if you're lucky, there may be 2 seats. and even then, the top merit fellows may not go for it. like in 2008, the baloch topper went for customs and the next few fellows until 88th position chose foreign service and dmg. police went to fellows on 88th and 154*th. so you see, it varies.

their over all scores would be around 835 and 815 respectively.

naeem sahib,

there is no fixed criteria. the group allocation depends upon your over all merit, your group choices, your suitability and availability of seats.

regadrs,

Dear Adil Memon, thanks

Can you tell how much score a candidate from Sindh should secure in order for him to be considered for dmg, psp, and fsp.

sir,

2007 and 2008 were lucky years for all css aspirants. there were too many seats in psp and dmg in these years. the case may be different in 2009 and further. i guess you understand this.

in css 2008, the last seats of dmg, psp, fsp went to sindh rural guys on general quota with following css scores:

dmg - 823
psp - 814
fsp - 790*

regards,

@adil memon

well it is improbable that baluchistan wont get any psp seat as already the people of baluchistan are clamouring for more seats n everyone knows what baluchistan is going thru anyhow in 2007 n 2008 there were two seats each for psp and i hope there are again 2 seats for psp as i hav done css only for psp n ya i would be very grateful if someone post how many seats of psp our beleaguered province will get thanx
