Previous Government Service is counted for seniority?
Could someone kindly clarify whether previous government service is counted. For example if a candidate is already working in government sector since three years and he or she qualifies then would those three years be counted towards seniority if he joins?

Pervious gov. service is not counted for seniroty. However, pay protection is allowed if you had applied through proper channel.

Endorsed. For pay protection, corresponding to one's 'Pay Stage' in the previous capacity, and for retirement purpose. Barring this no seniority for change of cadre. Regards |
What if not applied through proper channel?

Please address following queries. What if not applied through proper channel? What if one is switching from autonomous body to some ministry offering BPS scale? Autonomous bodies have their own scales and are normally higher than those offered under BPS scales. |

For autonomous bodies, I can tell you with confidence that their experience is not being counted (even) for the age relaxation purpose but don't know for sure about the pay protection. Regards |
