i am a new aspirant who needs to have some guidance.
people say read DAWN.i want to know what we have to read from it.
the whole newspaper or the editorial only?
when does dawn tribute comes?.
how it can help us in mcqs?

Most important pages are page # 6 and 7. Then International page, and Business news page if your optional is Business Administration etc. However, you should also go through main stories of News paper. Like there was a news before few weeks that US will invest in Wind Power project near karachi. It can help you in current affair papers like energy crisis in pakistan etc and in everyday science paper too. You can give example of this news with complete detail which was given there.

best technique is to go through headline read first para if itx worthy n not routine news that hax no analytical dimensions ignore it n if news relates to burning issue go through it n add it in ur notes u can avoid FALTOO[:p]news but go through editorial thoroughly understand each n every sentence n if possibl add it to ur notes .then abt business portion just go through trends at various stock exchanges.n trens of eno dev in various countries then scrutinize news abt international news again ll help u in ur notes..then u adopt the same strategy of scanning n skimming for pages of North n Metro n among sport news i only lik cricket[:p]but if u can go through atleast them[:p][:p]

i tell u my technique....
read every news and encircle those whom u find worthy... must read international page and any good column try to reproduce that particular column and try to write ur own opinion..... and then go back to the headlines or the encircled news and read them.... try to memorize imp points or thing and write them... it will take maximum two hours.

i heard in dawn friday paper theres some column which helps in islamiat...i dint found any today..can anyone tellme its page?.

its friday feature printed on the right side of the Opinion page.must read it.try to understand the concept.

Dear it is on the right side of dawn news paper and on Opinion page a must collection for islamiat paper in future.
To study the past editorials just go in news papers and article page of css forum and find out the thread by the title of FRIDAY DAWN FEATURE you will get almost all the friday islamic features. thanks to Predator who made the job easy for us.

dear first of all you should have a big register,number its pages,at various intervals on the register add headings like international issues,national issues,indo pak relatios,afpak,pak-us,arab spring,economy,islamiyat,science,sports etc.

now go through newspaper specially page number 1,6,7 international and yellow pages of monday edition.
if you find any article or news related to your heading,add its summary in your own words on your register.and if find anything new and important make a new heading.

also keep you english register with you and whenever any new word comes your way,write it up with full sentence of news article and consult dictionary,it'll build your vocabulary and shall help in composition.

after all this you'll not be in need of cutting all the articles or saving the newspaper,but only those which are of extreme importance.
