By CE-21's cut-off (31st Dec 2020) you'll be 29 years 10 months 30 days old and it will be your chance without age relaxation claimed.

So you have 4 chances (CE-18 to CE-21) and 3 attempts(assuming you haven't taken any) at your disposal.

If you apply for PMS or CSS but do not appear/sit in exam; hence, do not mark attendance sheet. So would your chance be considered as consumed/taken up?

DOB 18-09-1988 (28 years 9 months 10 days at present)

Dec 31 2017 my age will be 29 years 3 months

Dec 31 2018 my age will be 30 years 3 months

My question is, I want to increase my chances of appearing for CSS Exam. I can only avail 2018 attempt for the rest I am ineligible. If I join a Gov job now (before Dec 31 2017) will I become eligible for another attempt in 2019 ? at 31 ? or there is no chance for me to avail another attempt by any chance if i join gov service before dec 2017 ?


Another question is, since Ive done my calculation and I am getting to know that I can only avail another attempt in 2019 if only i secure a job this year any time before dec 31st 2017. Can anyone suggest which possible gov departments can i look for in which the recruitment process is short and quick and I can avail a job? any job opening at present in gov departments ?

You have only 1 chance and I do not think so you should go looking for jobs at the moment as time is very short. Most of the jobs are posted here on forum so, you can check threads daily if you want. Otherwise you can check fpsc, ppsc, nts websites etc for jobs. I will recommend you not to do that and just focus on your attempt.

I do not think so that you can become eligible for age relaxation by joining government service at this point. I do not have much idea about age relaxation and may be some other senior can guide you better about this. All I know is that one gets up to two years of age relaxation after continuous 3 years of government service. Even if you get selected today, it will take you 3 years to get eligible and till that time you will already be 32 and that is maximum age relaxation. So, think that this is your last and only chance and focus on it. Even if there is a tiny opportunity of getting age relaxation which I am sure is not, you must think that "a bird in hand is better than two in the bush". Avail the one with full strike instead of trying to get more and getting distracted.

I will like seniors or moderators to answer this query in a better way. I do not have much knowledge about that.

You cannot claim age relaxtion at that moment of time. It required a continious job of minimum 2 years to apply for any relaxation.
Forget about all such things at that moment and concentrate on your preparation.

As per calculations, even if a single day of appointment date falls before 31 dec 17, il become eligible for another try at 31 provided i continue my job service ! The condition is only 2 years.

I am putting in all effort focus and try for this attempt however my family is helping me out at the back end for looking out for a gov job and applying to it. I have all belief and trust in Allah i will find one before dec31 2017 in sha Allah ameen !

Any body knows about the latest eligibility criteria for CSS 2018, as several news were circulated by ministry of planning and Management about the least qualification that has been changed from 14 years graduation to 16 years (Masters) or Equivalents, is there any authentication news regarding this query?
