Thumbs up

Its surely more then 8 months training. The qualifiers of 2005 started their training at CSS Academy Walton Road in the month of September 2006 and still they are there and hopefully it would end in April. Then they will be seperated according to their departments.

AoA

a month back i was present during a conversation of some officials from Pakistan Administrative Staff College regarding confering of degrees from National School of Public Policy.

Following are the excerpts of the conversation:

""Intake for different cadres of CSS examination for induction in BPS-17, is minimum of Bachelors degree involving 14 years of schooling. The intake normally comprises a heterogeneous group having varying academic background. The passers undergo nine months general training known as Common Training Programme (CTP) at Civil Services Academy (CSA), Walton, Lahore. After successful completion of CTP, the probationers go for Specialized Training Programme (STP) at relevant academies like CIvil Service Acadmey-DMG Campus, Lahore; National Police Academy, Islamabad; Postal Staff College, Islamabad; Railway Academy, Lahore etc. The duration of STP varies for each occupational group. Moreover, probationers in occupational groups like Income Tax Group and Customs & Excise Group are offered MBA programmes at IBA, Karachi. Similarly, MBA programme at LUMS and University of the Punjab is under discussion for probationers in occupational groups of District Management Group (DMG) and Pakistan Audit and Accounts Services (PAAS), respectively.""
