Default Can one hold two degrees, one regular other private, in the same year

Guys i need some information regarding dual-degree policy of HEC. I am studying LAW, which is bachelors degree. I am thinking to do private M.A English Literature along with this degree. Can i hold two degrees at the same time, if both are in the same year?

If HEC find about my dual-degree, can i withdraw one degree of my own liking, or will i have to give up both the degrees?

One of my friend said that his friends had two degrees in the same year and he qualified for CSS but was not allocated when FPSC found he was holding two degrees.

Kindly elaborate HEC rules.

I think you can hold different degrees from different universities. Two degrees in one academic year from same university are not allowed.

na brother you cannot hold two degrees. legally you can be registered in only one university at a time. there are people who do carry out that adventure but if you are applying for a job then you can only declare only one degree, and hide the other one. but here we are talking FPSC, i thin the HEC has a mechanism in place by which you can trace out such individuals through ID card number.

though in India you can!

Waqar, before posting here i actually searched in google and the source you just given here, came up in the first page on google. I want authentic information. It is prudent that you cannot give two degrees at same time but what happens if HEC find about dual-degress. Specially, what FPSC do in this regard.

Do they give option to give up one degree or both the degrees are cancelled. Kindly guide from CSS point of view because i don`t want to risk my CSS desire for this.

many people go for private degrees along with other regular, I don't have any confirmed link but I think we can do it. Moreover there was same discussion in one of the CSS related FB page and there few people confirmed that one can go for two different degree in one year. But its about either two private or one regular and one private degree from different universities.

why don't you just call HEC? and you say you are doing law, why don't you ask a lawyer about its legality? if it is legal then there should be no problems with FPSC. and you are doing bachelors in law now. do you have a bachelors degree other than this one that you are doing?
