What's the difference between the two? Apart from some spelling.

Not only in Pakistan but all around the world, British English is the standard. Other versions of American or Australian are just tampered copies, so, British English must be used in every formal communication (written or spoken). Regards

Default Hand writing!

i want to know as to how much the hand writing of a candidate counts? are there any additional marks for it?? one more thing, i have this tendency to make mistakes while writing and have to cut words or sentences at times due t errors so does this result in negative marking or impact on the examiner??

So why some people I mean those Master of English
Prefer American English?

So it means Pakistan 's official language is British English.

And in interview or written exams of css if someone write or speak American English. What would happen to him?

Both are acceptable but British English is preferred.

You should go for the one you are more familiar/convenient with, because as long as the usage is correct there won't be any penalty.
