Question CE 2015 Rules - Nationality Clause 6 (ii)‏

Salam, everyone.

My query is concerning the following clause according to which it seems that I'm ineligible for CSS:

"(ii). A candidate who has married a person who is not a citizen of Pakistan shall not be eligible for appointment provided that a person who marries a “foreign national of any country recognized by Federal Government” with the prior permission of Government may be regarded as eligible for appointment."

I derive my nationality from the State of Jammu & Kashmir thus fulfilling 6 (i) but I'm married to a British Citizen and the legal language in the above clause is very confusing. What amounts to prior permission? Please help.

Thanks.

It means you would have to inform the council office that you got married to a British citizen. They want your legal papers for marriage to register, so far you are not appeared in the exam so must submit your documents in town council office and get registered, while applying for CSS exam, must mention this thing in your application/form. That's it. You are eligible so nothing to worry about. Rest, contact fpsc, they will better guide you in this case.

Be Blessed.
