I have a few beginner questions:

1. Will all compulsory subjects have to be attempted in English?

2. Do subjects like Islamic history etc also have to be attempted in English?

3. Basically, are all subjects supposed to be attempted in English or can we also use Urdu in papers.

you have to atempt all subject in english either they are copulsory or optional.except islamiat compulsory,in which an option is avialable for laungage(you have to answere in urdu or english depend on your will).while in optional section laungages are to be deal in their own field(you can not solve urdu laungage paper into english laungage,persion in urdu, arbic into english).

yes, of course
before your final appointment,Govt will trace all data of you(it's a single NIC,which can show them,everything they need to know about you)
you can not cheat them

suppose you got succes in it,they couid not catch it during your written test,interview but what will you do when they will appoint you on a post?(before final appointment of candiddte they conduct real investigation).
it may disqualfy you with a penalty,may possible for future exams also.
they have clearly mentioned,"a candidate will be disqualfy at any stage,even after his appoinment if commision found any information false or untrue"

My documents only use my first name and middle name but I wish to use my full name i-e first name+middle name+family name in my css forms. My NIC has my full name so can I use that? Or I must use my name as it is in my acedamic documents?

welcome to the forum. The ideal situation would be that start a subject finish it and then move on to the next one. Studying 2-3 subjects at a time only confuses a candidates.If you want to study more than one subject at a time then perhaps you should start preparing English along with your selected subjects.

As you have a lot of time before Css 2010, i would suggest that you start with Compulsory subjects.After completing them you can move on to your optional subjects. But remember to revise your compulsory subjects along with your optional subjects.

dear.. kindly have a look on my daily study schedule.. i study one optional and one compulsory subject per month and along with this practice grammar and read dawn news paper and two or three articles from Jahangir world times..
what do you say about this...?? suggestions and recommendation will be highly appreciated..:-) live as land..:-)

I want to appear in the css 2013 exams and I know that I have a very little time in hand please suggest me the best optional subjects which have a short syllabus and easy to cover and please also suggest me exact books for the compulsory subjects or if any member have some good and easy notes than please share it with me.I will be very grateful .

You will get roll no. slips in start of february.

I've joined this forum about one week ago and have read almost all threads for a beginners. but i want to ask some questions specifically :
1. When i can apply for css 2013,
2.Is there a specific date every year, when CSS exams take place or it varies?
3. From where i can get the app form and all the related info. regarding fee and subject detail?
Kindly share you thoughts regarding these queries..

1. As 31-12-2012 is the last date apply every year . Now you can't apply for CSS 2013.

2. Yes, usually starts from last Saturday of February.

3. Visit FPSC and explore Beginners Guide to CSS Competitive Examination
