How much advantage they have over others in Css?
How can a normal person compete with them?

Never ever do the grave mistake of choosing English Literature as your subject...Even if you are brought up in a Royal Family having Anglo-Saxon lineage with a few predecessors in France too...

The only one advantage you know is a bit improved ability to comprehend the things, in literary fashion... And some times despite of making you tamed in things, it brings out a William Wordsworth in you and you will start seeing daffodils every where in the country or will ruin your "Sense and Sensibility" throwing you in the imaginations of "Glass Menagerie" with a tale of two cities in your daily repercussions...

Nothing sort of advantageous. They too start from the same line. They are also normal Anyone can compete with them as long as he/she puts in sincere efforts.

I am an English literature student and I was not allocated. So don't you worry. You can compete with anybody provided you put in your sincere efforts.

Yes I qualified but was low on merit.
