I read Karen Armstrong's 2 books few years back although not the book you have mentioned. Avoid writing any opinion you read in her books in Islamiat paper and avoid being overly logical and avoid liberal opinion. You have to answer Islamiat questions like a Muslim not a dispassionate objective researcher. You can study Hafiz Kareem Dad book for Islamiat.

Its your choice but better be safe than sorry. The more conservative your opinion, the better, as far as CSS Islamiat is concerned.

Its sad to hear this you can't even explain things at this level, the way you think they are.And there is nothing wrong in her book but things are shown from different angle with more reason ..

Yes, you are right. However, from what I remember, she doesn't hold some Companions of Prophet (S.A.W) in very high regard. As a Muslim, we can't reason like her.

My personal view is that western writers holding differing viewpoints about Muslims and figures important to them, tend to play the role of good cop/bad cop with Muslims. That's more hateful and dangerous than outright contempt. Anyways, that's just my personal opinion and is not meant to disrespect your opinion in any way.
