Default My Book Choices

Hello all. After doing some research on compulsory and optional subjects I have chosen to use the following books to cover the topics in the syllabus. I'd appreciate it if the senior and experienced members on this forum can take a look and comment. Please let me know if I am on the right track in terms of the 2016- onward syllabus. If there is a need for replacing a certain book with some other, please let me know. Thanks in advance guys/gals. Here's the list:

Compulsory

1. English Essay
  • Research
  • Practice

2. English (Precis & Composition)
  • English (Precis & Composition)- Hafiz Karim Dad Chughtai
  • Practical English Usage- Michael Swan

3. General Science & Ability

5. Pakistan Affairs

  • Trek to Pakistan- Ahmed Saeed & Kh. Mansoor Sarwar

6. Islamic Studies
  • Islam: Its Meaning and Message- Khurshid Ahmad
  • Islamic Law and Constitution- Abul A’ la Mawdudi

1. International Relations
  • International Relations- Joshua S. Goldstein
  • World Politics: Trend and Transformation- Blanton & Kegley
  • The Globalization of World Politics- Baylis & Smith

2. Business Administration
  • The Practice of Management- Peter F. Drucker
  • Principles of Marketing- Philip Kotler
  • Principles of Finance- Besley & Brigham

3. History of USA
  • A Pocket History of the United States- Nevins & Commager
  • American Empire: The Rise of a Global Power- Joshua B. Freeman

4. Criminology
  • Criminology- Larry J. Siegel
  • Theoretical Criminology- Vold, Bernard & Snipes
  • New Perspectives in Criminology- John E. Conklin

5. Sociology
  • Sociology- Horton & Hunt
  • Sociology- John J. Macionis
  • Pakistan Society- Akbar S. Ahmed

Just add any book that covers whole syllabus for islamiat. It can be Hafiz Karam dad's book or maybe by any publisher as you wish.

And with it adding notes by Naveed Bhutto which are available in history of USA section at this forum,may be beneficial too.

Yes. And with it ,most important thing. You have not added any book for objectives. Objective part is the most important part which aspirants miss during their preparation. If you get good marks in objective then you will be able to score high. You must get any good book for objective portion for every subject. Or maybe do it online. But don't miss that portion,as it is very important to get your objectives right if you want to score high in competitive exams.
So, add one or two objective books. And with it try remembering facts i.e dates,events, personality names etc that you get while reading main books.
