Which newspaper is best ?
Nowadays, I find Dawn not relevant to students since its opinions are not related to students. Instead, they are a bit too generic. Would anyone like to comment?

@Shafqatali,
I have heard many times from the seniors (who have passed CSS) that The Dawn is best for receiving up to date knowledge on many of the affairs important for the CSS students. However, I also advise to consult the other ones as well. As CSS students are not supposed to limit their knowledge. Best. Thanks |

Opinions and editorials being published these days in dawn have relevance to the preparation only in the area of domestic issues. Issues like inter-provincial tensions, military involvement in political affairs, health constraints and women-related issues have a directly correlation with the domestic aspect of current/pak affairs. In order to prepare for regional and international topics, I would suggest to read foreign affairs and JWT magazines. For the Middle East and Issues of Africa, Al Jazeera is the best source. Also consult latest magazines of 'The Economist' and 'TIMES'. All the best.
