Default A good combination of Books for preparing sociology

Guys there is a new version of a book on Sociology by Abdul Hameed Taga in the market.Combine this book with Javed Jiskani's book and sociology preparation will be quite complete.Seniors kindly give your comments on the choice of these books.

I haven't seen Abdul Hameed Taga's book but to be honest Javed Jiskani's book has nothing in it. Its just like after reading that book you come to know about the topics included in syllabus. Can just be a guideline or insight for syllabus; too short and too obvious.

Can anyone tell me more about Taga's book as I am looking for a book written in our national context. Frankly speaking am asking about its number of pages. This is not to initiate a debate here about quality and quantity here. I personally think that if you have read a topic in detail you would have something to write about it during exam. The more you read the more you get and remember.

AOA to all members,

Those who are interestd in Sociology should atleast study one basic book about General Sociology by a forigen author to understand the basics. Then comes the other stuff like books by Indian and Pakistani authors and Notes etc. Try to understand the social problems of pakistan in sociological context and reach out the causes of these problems. I will try to post more for ur guidence in future.
Wish u all best of luck. . . . .
