I haven't seen Abdul Hameed Taga's book but to be honest Javed Jiskani's book has nothing in it. Its just like after reading that book you come to know about the topics included in syllabus. Can just be a guideline or insight for syllabus; too short and too obvious.

Can anyone tell me more about Taga's book as I am looking for a book written in our national context. Frankly speaking am asking about its number of pages. This is not to initiate a debate here about quality and quantity here. I personally think that if you have read a topic in detail you would have something to write about it during exam. The more you read the more you get and remember.

Even though horton and hunts' is way too much stuff according to the css syllabus and a good option would've been imtiaz shahid's an advanced study in sociology, i'd stay stick with hunt's book for now.

sociology paper is quite general ... u must do the topic of social problems of pakistan and also the sociologists ...if u do these 70 % of ur paper will be done and rest will be from the typical syllabus that u can do from any book.
