Firstly , I Want To Congratulate Everyone Responsible For Bringing Up Such A Motivating And Informative Site For Css Aspirants.
Can Anyone Recommend Me Just 2 0r 3 Books For International Relations that Would Fully Cover The Outline ,since It's So Confusing As There Have Been Many Suggested Books? Further,i Want To Know How One Should Prepare For Objectives, Being Given In All Papers, since It's Easier To Prepare For Objectives If One Knows The Books From Which They'll Give Objectives.
Finally, wishing All The People Preparing For Css Best Of Luck.remember! Luck Is Just When Hard Work Meets Opportunity And Faith In God & Keep Smiling Coz It's The Only Curve That Straightens Up Everything!.

1. study I.R by Prakash Chandr.....( Dont study Palmer and perkins as it is old book and bulky. same is the case with Morgentau:" politics among nations")

2. Also study "Globalization of World Politics" by john bylis and steve smith..( latest trends and approaches are discussed here).

3. Read news papers and contemprary affairs.

For I.R. one good book is International Political/ Economic Relations by Sarfraz A. Akhund. Moreover, you also have to prepare for Current issues from some good source.

Remember me in your prayers!

I have bought and skimmed through all of the books mentioned by members here and I must say that the best book so far has been the "International Relations by Joshua S. Goldstein & Jon C. Pevehouse". This book is in easy to read and supplements each topic with real life examples. I would highly suggest everyone to get this book and this should be sufficient for IR prep

International Relations by Dr.Safdar Mehmood

Half the 2012 IR paper was current affairs. Or rather war and diplomacy in the unipolar world.

For the Cold War, the two World Wars, the inter-war period, NAM, NATO-WARSAW, etc, I used Palmer and Perkins and Sultan Khan. The latter also covers most of the theoretical aspects of IR. But if you read different newsmagazines and follow the news regularly, the 'current affairs' part of the IR paper won't be too difficult for you.

Prakash Chandar is an informative book but it's full of grammatical errors.
