assalam o alaikam
plz guide me few but good books for the indo pak,sociology, journalism,IR as there are recommanded so many books that i m confused ,also need help for the compulsory subject ,i wana appear in 2013 and just want to start preparation now...

For Essay ,Improve your vocabulary,read daily dawn,and do writing practice on daily basis . . nothing more than that
For current affairs: Contemporary affairs by Imtiaz Shahid ,International affairs by Dr.Safdar Mahmood ,Daily dawn .. For Everyday Science: Encyclopedia of Everyday Science by Dr.Rab Nawaz samo & Kashmiri Don't know anything abt maths & persian

there are some books (or articles) mentioned as suggested reading in syllabi of every subject which are diff from books mentioned in the sub forum of frequently asked questions... for which books should we opt, are the books given in syllabi officially declared text books?

drmfk books suggested bu fpsc are broadbased and comprehensive one. If one can study them its well and good. Books suggested on css forum are also good one. I will prefer books suggested by forum because these are suggested by experienced seniors and some books are same on both forums.
