Default Require help to choose Books

Asslamo Alaikum,

I am the aspirant of CSS for the upcoming year 2013. I go through the syllabus where I find a long and tidy list of books for every subject recommended by FPSC officials which leave me in state of bewilder and perplex. Now it is requested to all the members plz suggest the relevant and appropriate book for optional as well as Compulsary subject. My optional subjects are as under,

*Indo pak History(200)
*Political Science(200)
*International Relations(100)
*International Law (100)

Dear first of all, reread the rules regarding subjects selection.
and keep in mind
International Realations & International cannot be opted side by side.
(Group F
Subjects carrying not more than 200 marks can be opted.
Note: International Law CANNOT BE opted in combination with International Relations.)

It meanz u've to drop one among the above said subjects and have to opt for any other subject.

As far as books are concerened

For Indo Pak History
1. K.K.Aziz
2. Lane Poole
3. I.H Qureshi

Fo International Law
1. Agarwal
2. Starke
3. S.K Kapoor & Tandon

Dear if you ve studied Mercantile Law then it's ok (not fine) otherwise it may be calamitous. It's quite lengthy , time-demanding and technical.

If you guts to deal with it, it's fine otherwise my suggestion is replace Mercantile law with anyone of the following;
Muslim Law, Punjabi (or any provincial language), sociology and forestry.
All the above said subjects are scoring as well as easy cramable.

Still It's up to you....

I came to know that Indo pak history, Political science and Int. Rel are all low scoring subjects and ruin the result of many aspirant, Therefore I finally decided following Optional subject based on my past knowledge and aptitude,

Islamic History and Culture
International Law
Constitutional Law
Socialogy
Journalism

Plz suggest the relevant book for above mention optional subjects
