Dear Ameena,

Go for the following subjects:
1. Accountancy & Auditing (200 marks) from Group 1
2. Business Administration (100 marks) from Group 3
3. History of Pakistan & India (100 marks) from Group 4
4. Gender Studies (100 marks) from Group 5
5. Geography/Sociology (100 marks) from Group 6

Besides this, I am assure that your English would be pretty good as you were O & A Levels student. Time is still enough till February 2016, so go for it without any fear.

Are you guiding me with regard to the revised scheme of CSS Exams for 2016?

Geography and Sociology both belong to Group 7 in the revised scheme. I have no experience at all in the Group 6 subjects which are all related to law. I studied Tax Law and Business Law courses when I was an undergrad student.

Please do guide me about Group 2 subjects. The Maths that I studied in 'O' and 'A' Levels is hardly seen in the Pure and Applied Maths Past year papers. I am not good at Physics and Chemistry. Geology, I don't know anything about it. I did study Geography in 'O' Levels.

Please guide

Aoa,

I would suggest you may choose the following set of combinations:

1. Int'l relations (200),
2. Gender studies (100),
3. Mercantile law(100),
4. Business administration (100) OR governance and public policies (100) OR town planning and urban management (100),
5. Sociology (100) = 600 marks.

- Int'l relations will be helpful in essay and current affairs.
- Gender studies is though new subject yet many people especially females are opting it. It's syllabus is also easy.
- Mercantile law is very easy, it's another name of business law.
- Business admin is also very easy and high scoring subject, being an MBA and BBA, you should opt it. OR you can opt b/w governance and public policies and town planning. Both are newly introduced subjects but if your take a cursory glimpse over their syllabus, you will get to know that these are comparatively easy and could be helpful in current and Pakistan affairs and essay. Well, Punjabi is a high scoring subject among all regional languages and easy as well.
- Sociology is a piece of cake, it's very much easy subject and million times better than geography. Sociology is very interesting subject you just have to study groups, social classes, theories and life stuff in it.

- In last, I will advise that:
don't opt history subjects. These are not scoring as compared to others.
don't opt statistics and math as well, and
opt accounting and auditing only if you are good at numericals, otherwise don't drag yourself to it.

Think logically and by considering your aptitude, select your optional subjects.

Good luck !

Profound regards.

Having such strong educational background you should not depend upon others to choose your subjects ,the best thing you can do is to shortlist some subjects depending upon your interest ,background and capability and then ask seniors for some advice

Aoa,

Dear if anybody has done BBA/MBA then mercantile law isn't difficult for him. Yes, one has to memorize lot of case laws with dates but even then it's very easy subject, demand less time to cover and scoring as well. Rest depends upon one's aptitude to grasp the things.

Sociology and Punjabi both are easy subjects. But, the latter is more scoring than the former. So, go with Punjabi.

Following is the link to download the syllabus for CE-2016. Choose subjects as per your academics, interest and scoring trend. Come up with couple of subjects and then members will assist you in final selection.

Stay blessed.
