Sociology Evaluation

Anyone who has opted sociology in Css Exam 2011.
Want to know about the best and recommended books for this subject.

As far as the matter of background is concerned, Specifically have no idea.
Is this a scoring subj.?

Not really high scoring as compared to psychology and geography but an ever green subject that can fetch you 50+ easily.
I used Abdul Hameed Taga's book, Social research topics from Jehangir series, Sociological perspectives, bureacratic theory and life histories of western sociologists from Schaffer and Lamm. For social concepts; I had consulted Dr. Anwar Alam's book. I had managed to get photo copies of these topics from various books rather than accumulating original books. I grabbed 66 for me in PMS while hoping for the best in css .

PS: Some people refer to JJ Baloch's book exclusively but that is too brief. It can serve the purpose of revision in final moments. Besides some theories of socializations and Mirror glass (sorry for not precisely naming) are also covered by this book.

Ahh~ Heart sinking, someone here had suggested me to go for sociology as it is scoring.
Now you are offering me Psychology?? I have been collecting and preparing myself mentally for sociology for the last days. It seems like one should not rely even a bit on suggetions, blindly!!!

Hey look sociology IS scoring, infact I would call it a high scoring subject esp after 2011 result. But the problem is that psychology has turned out to be "super high scoring" this time so if you have started sociology, nothing wrong with going with it. But if you havn't, then psychology is the subject of future gurl. Oh and yes do take into consideration the fact that sociology is a 100 marks subject and psychology 200.

Probably, you are right. I just have a look at Paper I and Paper II. I won't be able to cover it up by the exact time. Paper I has something interesting concern with the Science, ascertaining an easy subj. Paper II is Tough and time consuming, i think

You never know which subject is gonna high scoring or low scoirng in a particular year. Sociology has been usually a good scoring subject including this year. If you have started preparing Sociology, better stick to it.

You are the best judge for your self. My experience with sociology is good and I will retain it as an optional if were to take CE 2012.
